Chris Knox

Chris Knox is a committed artist who writes and illustrates graphic novels. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Katie and the two of them have been passionately unschooling their children Story (9) and Marin (7) since 2020.

Chris’s own schooling experience was difficult especially elementary school. Reflecting on these struggles in his adulthood have led him to believe that children who are given agency over their own time and allowed to pursue their own interests, become adults with a clear understanding of themselves and possess a passion for learning.

Chris enjoys sharing his own theories and experiences in unschooling and is always eager to hear from other unschooling parents, especially those with grown children. He looks forward to speaking with you at the 2025 Unschooling Conference.
